Lamp 1

Created using a single fired earthenware clay with a meticulously developed, signature white textured glaze.

Inspired by brutalist architecture this lamp was only fired once in the kiln, rather than the industry standard of twice, thus reducing its carbon footprint. Ceramic kilns are far more efficient than those used in  the production of other materials such as glass or steel.

Lamp 2

Created using a single fired earthenware clay with signature white textured glaze this lamp is also a mixed media piece- housing natural rattan inserts. Inspired by French mid-century ceramicists, this textured lamp is made to be a future heirloom as ceramics last indefinitely due to the durability and strength of the material.

Vase 1

Created using a single fired earthenware clay with signature yellow textured glaze. Inspired by Miro this playful, sculptural vase harmoniously blends form, colour and texture.

Vase 2

Created using a single fired  midfire clay with green engobe glaze. Engobes contain less chemicals than the majority of other glazes, as the ingredients are made up of a high percentage of clay - which is an abundant resource. Inspired by the  marvelous concrete structures of Edward James’s Surrealist “Las Pozas” rainforest garden in Mexico, this vase is abstract and monumental. In the pursuit of new shapes I often create forms and then deconstruct them.
